Thoughts on this 2002 Speed Yellow cab?
I'm getting bored of the black/black, silver/blacks that I leep seeing and then I came across this: http://www.goldstarbpg.com/VehicleDe...-CA/1946066653
The only options are heated seats, Litronic and CD changer.
Since nothing is known about the service history, my plan would be to have a local respected Porsche indy do a PPI. If it looks good, I would either have them do the clutch, IMS and water pump and drive it back to Seattle or have it transported and have the same work done up here. Either way, I plan to get the work done since I've not been successful in finding a vehicle protection plan that will cover a 2002.

You got a few more options maybe added in later, dunno. Yellow seat belts, painted center console, Porsche crested headrests. Check the top to see if it's original and also to make sure it functions good.
Bose system with tape tray has me thinking PO put in the tape tray. Who has a tape tray on a 2002 car? I was even surprised they had it in '99 on a high end car to be honest.

I agree on colors, too many silver and grays, a few less black, then the blue and finally guards red or maroon and speed yellow. I'm partial to SY, didn't care at first, but it sure has grown on me. Wonder if the number of cars with various paint colors is published somewhere? I've never seen it. This particular car looks fantastic and is priced right. Has yellow belts, P head crest, upgrade wheels, painted center console, mats, etc. go for it!

I've always liked Speed Yellow. Nearly bought one but found a better buy on a Lapis Blue one closer to home the day before I was going to buy it,
My '01 C4 has a factory CD changer with bose upgrade and the tape trays too. I wonder how long tape trays were included in 996s?

As for color, here in Scottsdale there are tons of 911's but very few in Speed Yellow. I really like the color.

Nice, though that color works better on a coupe in my eyes. Glad to hear you are considering b8's blue cab (nice to have all the IMS-type stuff addressed). If I bought that car (b8's), I would politely decline his offer and drive it all the way back myself. Talk about built in fun and memories.

Wife nixed the colour. Weirdly Guards Red is just fine. If it were up to my 7 year old, it would be Speed Yellow
Prior to seeing this one, my top colour choice was Lapis Blue (this is b8_rdc's cue to chime in...) and then grey or silver. I've not actually seen a 2002+ manual cabrio Guards Red for sale for a while (I've been looking on and off since last summer.)
@DaveCarrera4 - I actually did that search because I was curious. According to the piece I found (Hollywood Reporter so it is LA-centric) the top three are black, white and silver... The "A producer going through a midlife crisis probably buys a base 911 Cabriolet in yellow with yellow brake calipers." quote did make me laugh
