I have coolant shooting out of the black thing in the center of the picture, I am assuming that is the AOS??? The aspect of the picture is looking up from under the car on the drivers side. Thanks for any help.

Renntech has an excellent DIY
I just did mine.
Lowering the engine helps a lot.
Also be real careful of the vacuum lines under the intake.
Good luck and be patient

I just did mine. Kinda a lot of a pain. But i did the engine mounts while in there too so it should be all good now!
Next up...rear brakes replacement and clutch switch then done!

Not too bad, took the day to finish off, didnt pull the motor, but lowered it as far as I could without removing the nuts from the mounts. After doing the job, I think it would have been just as easy to pull the motor and get up under the car and do it. Other lessons learned, order the manifold gaskets if you are going to go that route, dont count on them being good to go. I went through a can of carb cleaner getting the throttle body and all cleaned up while it was out as well. Got my coolant from Napa, 12.99 for the 1.5 liter (think that was the size) Pentofrost, looks just like the OEM stuff and distilled water from wal-mart!
What mounts did you do, I am thinking those should be next for me as well, having been looking at the RSS mounts.

well i replaced my coolant tank not my aos, that was a pain for sure...aos was 2 summers ago. so definitely had to drop it a bit. and the mounts were looking like all the pics on here...pulled out about another cm or 1.5 cms compared to stock. and for those i just went oem again.
brakes are 1/2 done now because i need to buy anti seize tomorrow. should be done by lunch id think...pretty easy going

I am hoping to not have to do the coolant tank, for the price of these cars new, there are a lot of little things that break that I wouldnt expect to break on say a Mazda, or a Ford, it shouldnt be that fragile, lol. I enjoy the car, just disappointed when silly things do break.
If I do the engine mounts soon, I dont want to go OEM and than have the same problems with them a few years later again, I will probably just spend the few extra dollars and go with those RSS mounts.
Good luck on finishing up the brakes!
