So, I'm anxiously awaiting for Monday to take ownership of my new 1999 996! It's an early build with black exterior, full leather beige interior and PSM. It does have the early taillights with the orange turn indicator and wanted to update these. I've seen plenty of pics of the DEPO style ones, but honestly don't want to drop the 600-800 bucks.

I was thinking of the $300 ones on eBay, but could not find many pics them them installed. Does anyone have these? I'd also consider the OE ones with the clear indicator, but the recyclers want too much for those as well.

For anyone interested, here they are installed (thanks gator996). I think they look great and will order the smoked pair for my black 996.

My issue with the DEPO or PDK style are the price....$800 seems way too much. The eBay style ones are only $300 and gives the 996 an updated look.

these look good... but so do the ebay ones.... can somebody post a pic of the ebay ones all "lit" up and with turn signal flashing... would love to justify spending $500 less on them as I think they are also a good alternative to the PDK ones posted here.

If I purchase them within the next week or 2, I'll post some pics. When my 996 arrives tomorrow, I'll be working on the interior first changing out some of the beige for black.

I'm north of town in Alpharetta. Will have the 996 tomorrow and will soon have my 99 Boxster for sale. My wife won't let me keep both. Of course I have not told her about the 996 being delivered tomorrow....
