IMHO

1. PSE or RUF
2. DANSK/FVD
3. CARGRAPHIC
4. FISTER D

for the $$$ try Fister D and if you don't like them you'll have no problem selling them to somebody if you decide to go with one of the top 3

combining any of the the first 3 with hi-flow cats is really something special!

+1 for Fister Ds. No drone whatsoever if that's a concern. They can be very tame, but if you want to hear something just step on it a bit. A little like PSE but the switch is in your foot.

Agree this would be a good way to start, then if you want to go further you can explore more of the full system upgrades a la Fabspeed, Tubi, etc...

I know the Tubi cans are hard to find, but they make the most amazing noise you can imagine. I spent a couple of years trying to make my Boxster sound right - the Tubi mufflers on my 996 are exactly what I expected a Porsche to sound like.

Honestly, I'm a cheapskate...if they didn't sound as awesome as they do, I would have pulled them off and sold them and pocketed the cash - but I can't bring myself to get rid of that sound.

I'm not sure there is enough added value to go further than Fister Ds. I get many compliments on the sound.

a few questions for the OP:
* your budget? bang for buck or money is not an object?
* your goals/plans/expectations? just "noise" or actual power gains
* use of car? road & track?

If YES to "bang for bang", "noise" and mostly road use, then hard to beat the Fister D.

I have a set of TechArt exhaust cans that I got used a few years back and I like them. They sound really good especially when I step on the accelerator but compared to my friend's PSE's, I feel that the PSE's have even better, deeper growl either at idle or open throttle, they sounded great. I heard the Tubi's, Fabspeed, Dansk, Fister D on Youtube and they all sound pretty good with some variations in pitch but it depends on your budget and preferences, good-luck with your choice. Cheers,
