Default Lightweight two-piece rotors for our cars?

Anyone heard of such a thing?

Would this be hard to spec and have built?

Like the Brembo evolution series? They make a 2-piece kit for the 996, separate rotors and hats for the fronts.

I was hoping for a lightweight replacement for my stock rotors.

they don't make em for stock sizes.....stoptech has em as part of their brake package :S

might want to double check with them as i'm not 100% sure. i find navigating thru brake catalogues intollerable.

performance friction is now making a two piece rotor that is a direct replacement for the stock rotor. not sure how light it is though.

not exactly a "direct replacement" but pretty darn close. Yes it is made for the car but you will need to use their pads for "proper" fitment. You can use stock pads but you will need to file them a bit.

Dell, would you "file them" under "B" from brake pads or "P" for pads.

I wonder what taking 10 lbs off each of 4 rotors would relate to in terms of HP. I bet it would be significant.

New rotors for my cup car showed up yesterday. The damn things must weight 30 lbs each.
