Angry #5 misfire

changed out plugs and coil packs now getting misfire on cylinder #5 car just hit 68000 miles could i have bad coil? got them from ECS turning

Bad coil is always a possibility. But more likely you didn't get the # 5 coil connector connected securely to the plug or the wiring harness.

Before you replace the # 5 coil I'd advise you double check the coil connections. You sure you torqued the plug in # 5 down correctly? That it is not loose?

If at the same time you want to say swap coils around to just in case the connections are ok to see if the misfire follows the coil that's probably a good idea too.

I agree with Macster. It's not uncommon for people to not fully seat the connector on the coil. You should hear/feel it snap into place.

If connection is good, swap it with the coil next to it and see if the misfire moves. That will determine if you have a bad coil.

dielectric grease in the plugs isn't a bad idea either.. not sure if that makes the P cars IMS bearing fail and all.. but its a good practice anytime plugs are used..
