Default Widebody Sumitomo HTRZ III Fitment?

Guys im looking to get Sumitomo tires this Summer. I have always ran PS2 or R888. My question is how is the Fitment of them on Stock WB Wheels? Do they look stretched because I know PS2 is a Bulky Tire and I like how it looks. I just hope the Sumitomo don't look Streched, Thanks

I ran a set of Sumi HTR ZIII tires on my C4S a few years ago. They do look stretched on stock wheels, especially compared to PS2s. They also leave quite a bit to be desired in terms of performance, but that might not be an issue if they're just for use as a daily driver.

I won't buy them again. They were cheap, but they didn't wear well and they were loud.

It seems like there are some other cheap tires that get better reviews.

I'll try to find a pic of my C4S with the Sumis to show you the stretch.

Tire preference really is a subjective thing. Glad they're working well for you!

Tires are very, very subjective. Are you trying to save money or what "features" can you live without.

For example, road noise, dry or wet performance, look, tread style?

I had a set of KDW's versus some other tires and I loved them but they were a bit loud but I didnt mind that, so that is a feature I can personally live without.

Who am I kidding, I cant hear tires over my exhaust anyways lol.

I ran 235/40 and 295/35 BFGs on my C4S for awhile, with 8mm spacers in the front and 12mm spacers in the rear. They filled out the fenderwells and fit just right if you have rolled rear fenders.

I also ran Hankook V12s on my 19" wheels and I really liked those tires.

Ditto. They were rears on my C4S. When questioning odd handling The Indy I used laughed at the Sumitomo and essentially said they were for pretend fast cars. Also they look very very stretchy and leave too much lip open for road damage IMHO.

Do you have Pictures? 295 on a 11" wheel steched too much to leave an open lip?

Zook, I've had both on my car. The Kumhos don't looked stretched. The have a squarer sidewall. Car handled pretty well as I remember. The Sumis do look stretched and more of a rounded sidewall. To me they look more like a 285 than a 295. That being said I still buy the Sumis for street driving so I have $ left over to spend on track tires... NT-01.

I love the V12s. They don't run as narrow as the Sumis, but they do have a rounded sidewal, but not as much so as the Sumis.
