Pelican Parts has OEM.

Mine were not that easy. A massively corroded set of bolts. It took a overnight soak with PBlaster and a long handle extension to get them loose. Significantly tightened up car movements and a fun DIY.

My California car has never seen a winter, or even that much rain, so I didn't have to PBBlast stuff, and no breaker bar was required. Seems like your mileage may vary...

I did mine on my east coast year round driver with no issues. I did spray the hardware with liquid wrench penetrating fluid the night before and made sure I could break loose each bolt and nut before I went full bore into it. It was actually almost TOO easy. Went with OEM mounts.

I've probably had them the longest here. No complaints and feel very similiar to any of the aftermarket poly mounts that I've driven. Really it's like any good tires or brake pads. They all do what they're suppose to do at some elevated level over stock but you will only notice the last 10-20% of the performance of them at the limits to be able to tell a noticeable difference between them.

It basically boils down to if you wanna pay extra for the shiny packaging and polish.

We offer both OE replacement mounts by Corteco as well as the WEVO semi-solid mounts for the 996. You may read further product information here.

Also, we created an easy-to-follow instruction guide on how to swap your engine mounts which you may follow here.

Let us know if you have any questions.

To replace my worn mounts, I originally went with Torque Solutions semi solid mounts. NVH was unacceptable -- pronounced vibration throughout the car between 3500 - 5000 RPM (i.e. the Happy Zone). I took them out and replaced them with a set of OEM mounts from Pelican. All is well again.

I'm thinking that one of the TS mounts may have been defective, or maybe I had track mounts instead of street mounts ... I need to follow up with TS, but it felt almost like I'd imagine a solid mount to feel. Based on how the car felt, it's hard for me to believe that the mount was providing any isolation at all.

Based on your comments, I can't imagine you'd be happy with the WEVO mounts either.

Finally got my backordered parts! Sneaky Pete offered his help tomorrow.

I'm SO excited, I can't even format properly!

I have x74 suspension, RSs mounts and FF1 yellow transmission insert and can tell you NVH is barley noticeable and within a few months you get used to the minimal amount there is.

DONE! Thanks to Sneaky Pete for his expertise, lift and assorted tools.

I repaid him in Pale Ale.

I need to drive it a bit more but they feel good so far.

Btw, I drove Pete's car with the new engine, short shift and handling package and it's great. A good car for someone out there!

ETA: Sharp viewers will note the "stick" supporting my deck lid. A replacement strut is inbound as we speak...
