The last extended warranty I purchased was on my Jag and I bought it from the dealer. The fuel rail failed and the warranty denied coverage because "its a carburetor" (I swear to Ferdinand that's what they said). When I pushed back they then decided it was part of the emissions which also was excluded. The dealer wouldn't fight it (they wanted me to pay the $6k the job would cost if I had to pay for it) and then just sat on the car for 3 weeks when I pointed out that if they agree its an emission component then Jag's 10/100 should take care of it.

No way will I waste money on an extended warranty again. Either I'm satisfied with the maintenance and keep the car, or I ditch it and find a new car. For a used car, I go into it expecting it to all be on my head.

Are Easy Care and Fidelity has the same type of coverage or one is better on more detail than the other.

Does fidelity sent your car to the dealership for inspection to see if there is any pre-existing problem. As far as I know Easy Care will need the report from the dealership that there is a clean report of any needed repair
