Hi guys, as per title message I have finally taken the plunge after 30 years of waiting and purchased my first Porsche.
I am now the proud owner of a 2002 C2 996 in basalt black with full black leather and a host of other options. Purchased from original private owner with 37K on clock ,a FSH and in immaculate condition.
One issue I am struggling to find information on is.............
I carried out the Rear Spoiler Switch modification as per following online instructions, http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...-relocate.html
however I am unsure about the wiring for the switch's illumination? The spoiler activates up and down as it should using the rocker switch so I'm happy with the middle 3 connections to the switch but hesitant to connect the other 2 to the switch as there appears to be 24 volts supply from the PSM switch supply connector when tested using a multi-meter? This is my 2nd attempt at this modification as I connected my original switch as per above instructions but had no illumination when headlights switched on. I returned this switch under warranty, not knowing if I had caused the damage myself by blowing the LED). Can anyone offer any further information on this?
Thanks in advance for all comments. Joe.
First of all, congrats on becoming a new 911 owner, pics are always welcomed. I believe there are several write ups available concerning the switch wiring. Have you done a search on Rennlist?
Thanks for the great welcome guys. I have attached a few pictures showing my car and the spoiler switch in question..
Guess what I am looking for is someone who has carried out this mod to confirm blue and brown wire voltage using a multi meter.
Thanks again in advance
