Just picked up a hardtop for my cab and it did not come with the cover for the front latch. Anyone have a spare(black or gray)? The wrench would be nice too but I have the Allen's for installation. I know the dealers have these but there must be a bunch lying around. I have a bunch of parts from old Porsches I should get rid of. Anyone need orange side markers or Fuchs center caps in black( from an 87 911)? There seems to be a whole market for the hard tops as they are forgotten when sold then the top is sold separately. This is the second I have purchased(two different cars). Kinda fun sourcing the right color at a price that is realistic. The two I bought were both from guys who do garage clean outs for a living. They do find quickly that the $5k replacement cost has no relation to actual value.

Mine didn't come with the cover over the hard top latch. Who gives a dam? I don't . It works and the car came with the hard top and that's the main thing haha.

I retract that statement. Mine did come with a cover. I just found it in the frunk. I put it away safe for the summer and forgot that I had one. I also found two covers for the back shelf as well which I had forgot I had.

Just looked DCAuto up online. The part number is 996.563.551.00 01C. They seem to sell the cover but they are temporarily out of stock. Doesn't show the price.

There was an annoying creaking when I first got my car with hard top installed, took me a while to figure out it was the latch cover, so I took it off!

But I'm not getting rid of it, I know it doesn't make any sense, but I'm keeping it!!

I’m looking for a front latch also for my newly acquired hardtop, if you get a notice of more than one. Thanks.

+1 on DC Auto - never been there but they are very helpful over the phone and the parts are exactly as described.

I’m also missing my front latch cover, but so far I have only been able to find new - and the price is around $80 for a little piece of plastic. You don’t really notice it but I would like to have one. Will wait until a used one turns up somewhere. Will follow this thread.
