SF North Bay (Marin) Independent Porsche
Quick question and maybe unscientific poll. I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2002 911 and the IMS Bearing hasn't been done. Should I bring the car to Hi-Tech, S-Car-Go, Sonnen or somewhere else to put in the LN Ceramic bearing?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Yelp reviews.
Call Sokol, and tell him about your situation. He is one of the BEST German auto mechanics in the Bay Area. His shop has one the few master technicians certified to work on the Carrera GT.
I had my BMW and my mother's BMW serviced by him on multiple occasions. He is extremely knowledgeable and honest about work and prices.
There is no better German Independent shop in the Bay, PERIOD.

I messaged Flat6 on his FB page about doing the IMS solution for my car and he gave me a certified installer in SoCal (Torrance). Maybe contact him if he has one in your area? Or go with Kalashnikov's recommendation above.

I've been taking my 2003 C2 to Sokol for the past few years and have nothing but good things to say about him. He's done a great job on all of my repairs and maintenance and is very convenient for me because I live in SF.
I have a good friend who has been taking all of his Porsches to S-Car-Go for years and highly recommends them. He's very particular about the quality of work done on his cars and wouldn't continue with them if he didn't feel they were the best. If you're looking for an indy in Marin, I would suggest you start there. I've spoken with the guys at Sonnen several times about questions I've had about the car. They are surprisingly helpful for a dealership, but I would expect that the cost to do an IMS upgrade there would be significantly higher.
