I BELIEVE the black and white connectors are for the seatbelt/airbag sensors

Your label "Ground" is the ground for the seat motors.
Your label "Power+" is the power for the seat motors.
Your label "brown?" is the ground for the seat heaters.
Your label "purple?" is the power for the seat heaters.
Your label "blue?" is the control wires for the seat heaters.
Your label "yellow?" is the seat belt latch sensor, this appears to be the passenger seat as the driver's seat uses all 4 positions.

I thought about the sport seat route bit I'm planning some Sparco QRT seats soon so I imagine I will have to pull out the wiring/ plug from the original seat to keep the airbag functional and light off..

Super helpful!!! thanks so much.
I have now made an updated version with the actual colors from the wires, and also the wires and 991 plug that I am making an adapter too.
hopefully you can also confirm some of that?

Default Seat Heater Control Wiring?

This is great! I am just about to transplant some 997 heated power seats to replace my 996 heated power seats.

Is anyone able to explain where those 4x wires from the 996 plug (labeled for seat heater control in the bottom photo) would interface with the 997 seat? I see the seat heater power and ground connections, but these four control wires remain a mystery.

Thanks!

Never mind. I figured it out.

For folks trying to get the heated 997 seats to work in their 996, you’ll need to add one of these guys.

The 996 has the seat heater relay as part of the seat. The 997 does not (probably in the car). So you have to add the 996 relay to the 997 wiring to get the 996 sweat heater switch to function properly. You also get the added bonus of having the correct plug to mate to your 996 body wiring harness to give you a more ‘factory’ look.

I assme it would be the same with the 991 then? The four wires go to the relay, then the + and - go to the seat?

Not really sure how all this would translate for a 991.

I can tell you that I was able to figure out my issue by comparing the 997 and 996 wiring diagrams. I suspect that you could solve the 991 riddle by comparing that wiring to the 996. Bueno suerte.

Do you have more pictures of how you connected everything to the seat?
