tint them.. any body shop can do them..

Wide look.

2003 Targa-I know I'm in the minority, bu I kinda dig the wider lens look.

I'm not going to mess with the original lights design simply because I kinda dig how it looks. It appear wide, more dynamic, and time period specific. Also, I tend not to mess with something that was given 1000's of hours of development, there is a certain look to it and its more than just the shape. I do like the '70's and '80's pronounced bug eye look, but that look is also time specific. They are raised and more vertical...that's the magic, not just the oval shape. By making 996's lights oval, that verticality is missing and so is the charm.
