Default Coolant leak

I just pulled into the garage and noticed coolant leaking under my car. It's on the left side. I looked in the engine compartment but can't see where it's coming from. Any suggestions as to whether it is a line or a cracked tank?
Thanks, Mark

I think the most common place is the reservoir cap. Had mine go out on me last week, fixed it for a day but then I think by sealing the system it raised the pressure and sprang another leak that I couldn't see. Took it into my mechanic and he said the leak was at a t-joint behind the reservoir, easy fix for him.

What year is your car? If it's still on the original reservoir, probably due for a change.

It's a 2001, everything original I think.

Another common source of coolant leaks is a failing water pump. If it's your original and it's high mileage, then you might consider changing it.

Cap, reservoir, water pump. All three crapped out on my '99 in less than a month, back in June/July.

I'd put my $ on a leaking coolant tank, especially if it is the original tank.

Not much if you DIY. Quite a lot if you don't DIY.

Here is a link on how it's replaced. You can DIY for about $250 saving about 500 dabs.

Be sure to get some extra band aids for your hands.

Good news; since I just purchased the car a few months ago: the dealer split the cost and it only cost me $200.
I am back on the road again..

You can't complain about that price. Good dealer.
