Its funny you should mention the third radiator...Below is a picture of the car with it installed last year (along side one of my Italian mistresses). I am constantly playing with that 996. Also, put on a MkII bumper and had the whole car repainted last year as well. This is what it looks like now. I totally agree with you on color, btw

 

^^there's a yellow mk1 aero near where I live in SLC. Thought it was an imported mk1 GT3 at first, thing looks great.

 

First Porsche at 40, that's a 1997 Boxster (986).


Second Porsche at 47 (only had it for three weeks now!), that's a 2001 996 Carrera.

 

First 996/Porsche at 35 (2004 Turbo in 2012). Second 996/Porsche at 38 (2005 GT3 in 2015).

 

First 2000 996 at 40 then 2008 cayenne S at 48 love both cars

 

First Porsche was a 1986 944 Turbo bought in 1998. Loved that car. Now my car is a 2002 911 Carrera Cabrio bought in Aug 2016. Love this car as much or more. The sound of the engine is intoxicating. I am now 63 going on 25 LOL

First Porsche, an 01 986 Boxster S at 25 and drove it for two happy years around SoCal. Moved back to Milwaukee and bought the 996 six months ago at 27.

 

Coming up on 2 years of ownership of my 2003 C4S I purchased when I was 28. Needless to say I am 30 now... It's my daily driver and I always look forward to driving it, I love this thing

Always loved the look of the 996 4S/turbo, but having small children back then, a 911 was not really an option for us.
Fast forward to 2017 and my sports car gene somehow reactivated itself again!. I needed to get back to a 911, having driven the Cayenne for 12+ years!
I started looking at 997:s but then I ran into this mint red 996 4S. Impossible to pass up! :d

Bought my first 911 at 33 which was a 1991 964 C2 Targa, then raised my kids and now got back into the game and bought my 996 at 49..

 

Sitting at 49 years young here!

 

I'm 53 this year the exact sort of age I used to call sad when I was a teen and looked on with great envy at older types with hot wives (partners these days) in 1980's Porsches..

 

37...and it's the best car I've ever bought.
