Not sure I want to go back to driving any other car.
Not sure I'd want a track car, but there is another 911 in the future once this one is paid off and we build a bigger garage.

There are cars, and there are Porsches. Good to see that you've discerned the difference.

After too many vws to count in my 20s , I had a couple rebuilt 914 motors on the bench .
I traded one of them for a 914 with a red body ,2 green doors and a black bonnet .
I built a hot 2.2 type iV motor after that
And was planning on putting it in a karmen ghia with an upright fan conversion .
And I found a 62 356 with no interior or motor .
The 2.2 went in that .
A couple 944s and a 928 came and went in the lifespan of milk . We rebuilt a 3.2 911 but sold it as soon as it came out of the paint shop.
I had a heap of other german stuff after that , mercedes 6 cylinder sedans , an Audi all road , vw syncro , 5 kombis .
Then still loving boxer engines I got into subarus .
But 15 months ago I got my 996 .
I'm 44 now , going to enjoy it for some years to come .
At least until a 2009 911s 997 can be had for under $40k

I was content with my ford truck ,had it for 15 years .Took early retirement at age 50 .I was hit by drunk driver last august, truck rolled four times and was destroyed.I had to make a choice always wanted a porsche but had the boats ,kids ,etc it was never a viable option .So at 63 years old ,I did it ,couldn't be happier .Kids grown ,boats gone just me and a girlfriend ,great car.I still have my Harley and late model subaru when we take my big rottweiler ,the 996 is my daily driver I just wish my rott would fit in it ,my only complaint.
