Default Part Question

As many have said before, this site has been an invaluable source of information and has certainly helped me work on/maintain my 996/save some cash along the way. I'm having a hard time finding this part. It is from the bottom of the driver's side rear fender. The part number is worn, but I can make out 996.504.8. It probably doesn't serve much of a purpose, but I'd like to find a replacement. Any help or guidance is appreciated. Tried taking a picture, but not sure it worked. Thanks and have a great weekend-

Can you see anything similar on the passenger side? You say it probably doesn't serve much of a purpose. Porsche would not add weight (even the slightest of weight) if it didn't serve a purpose. Not even a screw.

Its the rubber lip that attaches to the bottom of the wheel trim: 99650489300. No screws, just pushes into the holes in the bottom of the trim cover. I recently ordered the entire trim piece and it came with the lip you need, but it also is available separately.

If you don't know about AutoAtlanta, they have parts diagrams:
