Current owner bought the car at a police auction 2 years ago. He is now selling on CL.

I love a bargain as much as the next guy, but I'd walk away from this. So many unanswered questions, and so much other 996 inventory to choose from...

You can bet if it was from a police auction it sat for a long time while seizure was pending. If it was a Federal seizure it could be a year or more depending on case.

I have a rescue mentality. My first and current Porsche is a 79 928 that was a non-runner when I got it, now a dependable runner.

Like the color on this one -Vesuvius metallic I believe. Hate to see fine automobiles waste away like this but don't know much about 911's. Then again I knew nothing about 928's when I bought mine.
