Motive Power Fill - it is awesome
I'm a big DIY kinda guy.
I've had great success with a motive power bleeder for doing brakes, so I broke down and got the Motive Power Fill pro, which is the one with the shutoff valve. Basically it is a tank you fill up with whatever fluid, then close and pump up (or hook up low pressure air) and fill whatever transmission or diff you want to.
I did a fluid change on my BMW's manual transmission and differential and I can say that the tool is worth the $70ish. Definitely opt for the one with the valve, which is the "pro." Even the thick swepco 201 was easily pumped by this thing at a reasonable rate. The tip it comes with is excellent for filling as you can just hook the fill tip into the fill hole and leave it hanging there.
I look forward to doing my 996 transaxle soon as soon as I get a hold of some more SWEPCO 201 or something else similar. SWEPCO works well except for the cold shifting, which is really hard until the car warms up.
