Calibrate Top With Durametric?
My top has been acting up sometimes lately, so today I checked the hydraulic fluid, saw it was right at the min mark, and filled it to the max mark. Since I'm not sure if that will help or not, I thought I would also calibrate using the Duramatric, since today is a day the top is deciding to work. Has anyone done this successfully? When I click "start" the LED on the cable flashes red then green repeatedly, my cursor goes to the hour glass, but then nothing happens. I waited several minutes, but nothing was happening so I clicked stop. I lowered the top with the button on the dash, clicked "start" again, and the same thing happened. Any thoughts?
If you're curious about the top problem, sometimes when closing, it will stop about two seconds too soon, and I will have to release the button, then press again to finish closing. Also, sometimes I try to lower it, and it will flash the light on the dash, I'll hear two clicks behind me, but then nothing happens. Seems to be sporadic and only work when it wants to. Hopefully it will always work now that the reservoir is full.
Intermittent operating convertible top is most likely the microswitches, parking brake switch, or the 2 flaps in the back getting stuck (quite often I have to tap the one on the drivers side to get it moving...)
