Default Temporary paint protection for a DE

I have a clear bra on the front of my car, but at a DE a few weeks ago I was disappointed in the number of chips higher up the hood.
In a month of so I have another DE and was thinking of applying a temporary film over the front of the car just for the 2 day DE.
The 3M spray in a different thread is probably more than I need, I just want a temporary protection for a few days, doesn’t have to look perfect.

Any recommendations?

Go to Home Depot and buy some blue or green painter's tape. Or go to a good performance shop, and buy racers tape, they usually have all sorts of colors and patterns.

Cool site, but isn't our hood aluminum? That means the magnetic option is out. I'm not sure how well the vinyl can be re-used. I'd love to learn more though!

Or, grid early, and stay out front.

According to rennline only 996 GT3/2s have aluminum hoods.

It can't be as I keep my magnetic numbers stuck on to the inside of my hood so I never leave home without them.
