Default Hard shifting into first and third gear?

'Sup all, i have been finding that my shifter does not want to get into first or third. Especially when cold. I have since replaced the engine mounts, and replaced the transmission fluid with Porsche original. My clutch, pressure plate and the bearing were replaced a little over thousand miles by the dealer. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

Has it always been that way when cold? My gear box is snotty when cold. 1st and 2nd are anything but smooth. Once warmed though, it's like butter.

True, it does get a little better as it warms up, but i drove my buddies two year older Carrera, with twice as many miles, and he had no issues. It was like butter right from the start.

How cold is it when you have this trouble? Mine is tough when 25 F, but it's fine when the engine comes up to temp. You may have issues with your synchros, and that will be $$$

you took it to the dealer?

OH sorry
- try a different oil - I swapped to Swepco 210 and had noticeable improvement

find an indy shop - dealers work on new cars....your car is nearly 10 years old

@Barn996

The thought has crossed my mind, but synchros to be gone in first gear, i don't know. I have some kind of extended warranty, but i am guessing synchros are a wear item, and not covered?

@ivangene

I bought it used at this dealership, and they were replacing the rear shocks for free cause they were shot when i bought it, so i figured i let them change transmission fluid as well to see if it fixes it. It was only $100 more then if i was doing it. Hard to screw up unscrewing a couple of plugs, i thought Why did you need to change your transmission fluid?
