Default Need Help with coolant hose

Can anyone tell me what this hose is? Part number? I have searched and cannot find a diagram that calls this one out:

Thanks,

Dan

Let me guess. It broke at the mount right above your circle? Most of us have been running to lowes picking up a brass fitting, drilling out the mount and JB welding the fitting to the mount and putting a new hose on the bottom with a clamp. I did this fix 4 years ago and no issues and its a stock looking "hack" if you want to call it a "hack" if you want to "hack" your 85K$ car... I rather call it a good fix. I hate the word "hack" its like a bunch of preppy Porsche boys tryin to be all dat n ****.

Not sure yet, but when I went to the dealer at lunch, they insisted on selling me the plastic fitting and ordered me the hose. The guys at the parts counter swore up and down the hose isn't leaking but the fitting broke. So... when I get home this evening I will tear into it and post back.

By the way, I call that "Kustom" (with a K), not a hack

I agree with Shark Attack's recommendation to replace the fitting with a brass barbed fitting. I blew a hole in the hose you identify at a DE two weeks ago and just replaced it with a similar hose from the local auto parts store. Not too impressed by the strength of that original hose--on the other hand, it was 13 years old.

Here re the parts I needed to fix, it was the hose in my case that was leaking.

The new plastic ones are very cheap ($7). Just keep a few spares just in case.

Yeah and 3 days wait time to get it... Screw that.... I'd spend 20$ to not be down on a nice summer day. :-)
