Sadly I just sold my 996. The plan was to buy this car and then after a couple years move on to at 997.2. The second phase of my plan is now in motion and the search has started for the 997. I want to tell anyone that is looking at getting into a 996 that these are fabulous cars. Coming from being a 951 guy this car met and exceeded all of my expectations. Plus the market must be pretty strong because it sold just 12 days after I put it up for sale. Thanks for all the help and great people on the 996 board. -Randy

Good luck with the search for your new 997...

Post pics and driving impressions after you buy the car.

How long had you owned the 996, and did you get your asking price? My next Porsche will also be a 997, good luck and let us know what you find.

Thanks Dream Carrera I will post up some pics and impressions when I find the new car.

Thanks Steve. I bought my 2001 C4 just under 2 years ago for $22,500 and sold it for $22,000. I was hoping to end up at $22,500 but it was close enough. I did put some money (IMS) into the car but overall was very happy with the deal. The new owner got a great well sorted car.
