Question leaking cabrio top

Hi guys, I have a question about the 2001, 996 cabrio top. mine is leaking , I think from a clogged drainage system. does anybody know about this. Is there a drain system for the run off, if so how do you get to it to clear the drains. I get a collection of water in the L rear seat when it rains.

RB, if you're getting water in the actual seat instead of the rear seat footwell, you may have an actual top leak instead of drain tubes. If you have a plastic rear window that's a bit tired, you may be having some leakage at the sewn seam area. You can obviously test for that with a hose in your driveway. If it is the drain tubes, you can search here or on google for 996 drain tubes and get the schematic, how to get to them, and how to blow them out with some compressed air. Another water issue with 996's can be with the door membranes. In this case, you'll have wet carpets at the very base of your door panels. Best of luck diagnosing/solving the problem, and welcome to Rennlist! You'll find a ton of valuable info here!
