I changed out my rear console last week for a painted version. While taking out the console I stupidly decided to cut the rebound strap to gain better access while removing the console - thinking that it wouldn't be needed with the hinge replacement kit.

I was looking at the directions and see that the rebound strap is still used with the new kit. I'm not overly concerned but thought I'd ask if I should just forget the strap or try to order a new one (if possible)?

Any input appreciated, thanks!

 

I see that the strap is orderable part number 996-552-691-00 - guess I'll order it to make it right.
