Steve and Wayne, thanks.
Steve, I am going to buy either a Bluebird Wanderlodge or Prevost coach with the proceeds from the Maserati...no more car projects for a while. In the future, I would like to restore a vintage 911 or 930.
Whoever bought Ferdinand's car sure got a great deal. I can not imagine a nicer (or faster) car that anyody could buy for $25,000.

Looks like I'll be holding onto my 996 for a while longer, as my clutch failed on the drive home this evening... I'll probably get the clutch and AOS (weeping) done at the same time.

Wayne, I'm sorry to hear about your clutch. I had my throwout bearing go out about a year ago. It destroyed the clutch. Mine was a Spec stage 2+. It was only about 2 years old...it was garbage. I switched to the Sachs performance clutch. It works very well with my LWFW. You are smart to do the AOS at the same time. Mine started leaking after I had the clutch replaced.
You are probably right about the project car....it is an addiction. I still love my 996 and plan on keeping it forever. Has your BMW spoiled you for the 996? Do you plan on keeping your 996?
I really love the look of the aero kit cars. It is Ferdinand's fault. His car was the reason that I bought the factory aero kit for mine.

I would be willing to bet that you'll be shopping for another project car within 6 months of the Maserati moving on.
As for the M3 spoiling me - yes and no. They're such different beasts and I love them both. If anything I know I'm spoiled by having two amazing daily drivers. What the M3 has done for me is restored my desire to get in the seat and drive hard, which after so long of owning the 996 (and not driving aggressively) the M3 just brings it back out - well, owning it and doing the M Schools gave me a really bad itch for speed.

Currently he has 2 964 C4's. One was used in a Matt Damon movie. Door jamb says "Matt was here". The other is a black widebody. Your car came up at the perfect time.

Yes, laws of conservation.
Guys, Meet Darrell... he is now on the dark side and goes both ways. Glad she will be well taken care of. Once you have it all soaked in... give me a call and we can talk shop since its still fresh in my mind. Wish you well Darrell.
