Default DIY's

Morning everyone,
well just finished the tuneup (minus the water pump, not sure I want to do this one myself). Replaced the plugs, tubes, coils and poly belt.

Also did the motor mounts and I have to say I should have done the mounts a year ago when I purchased the car.
Huge difference in the ride and shifting. Best $183 spent so far.

Also want to say thanks again to this group (had to reach out on the window regulator), needed to remove the upper stop to get the window to go down all the way. I was stumped on why it wouldn't go down all the way.

Over all I have to say it has been fun overall with what I have done.

Nice job Zenski on the tune up. How many miles on your Porsche when you replaced the motor mounts, and where did you buy them?

I have a '99 with 58k, bought it last year with 47k.

They didn't look to bad, but what a difference.
I just went with the stock ones from Pelican Parts (Corteco - $91.50/ea).
I don't do track days, so took everyone's advice and stayed with the stock ones.

I went for a spirited ride yesterday (a few on & off ramps), and it was great.
Now we just need the weather to warm up here in Wisconsin so I can get the top down and enjoy.

My first DIY was the water pump. Is not hard. Just follow the instructions. For under $200 you can change it vs a lot more if somebody else does it for you.

I'll have to go thru the posts again and make the call.
