Default 1999 Catylitic converter value

I recently removed my catalytic converters from my 1999 996 C2.
What are they valued at?
Cats have less than 26k miles.

Thanks!

Anything over what a local scrap metal/converter salvage yard will give you for them.

The catalyst metals in them have some value but I do not know how much. (Enough that that converter theft is a problem for some vehicles with good ground clearance.)

And call some Porsche salvage yards and get a quote on replacement converters for your car. That'll give you an idea of what they're worth.

Around $300-500 seems to be the going rate.

I see you are in California, keep them if you drive at Laguna Seca - friend of mine with a 1999 996 can't pass sound without his on.

Maybe. Maybe not.

I recall now I was quoted over $1000 for a factory new converter for my 02 Boxster.
