ok philip. last i checked people could offer opinion on here. you cant take opposing opinions?!?! if not then i think your then one that needs to "chill" dude.
so heres my further opinion on this...that this ranks right up there with the lambo door mod 996 in chicago that made the rounds last summer. that huge wing is something youd see on a civic or an acura. are you going to plaster all those stickers on your ride too?
i really do fear for the model when mods like this are becoming more frequent. like the 22" spinners, carbon fibre hoods, lowered, underbody lighting etc etc.
whats next, something like this?:

you think thats hating? no...just my opinion. dont hate on me for expressing it dude.

@2K3TTMIA What would you like to know about the bike? I spent about 5 years searching for this particular bike. I wanted the LWB for stability and it was only made for about 6 months. I also wanted it in factory silver, which is a rarer color to find. I also wanted one with the optional toaster tank. I also wanted an original survivor bike. Tough find but worth the wait.

Hey Phil,
http://www.kognitiondesign.com/
I believe this is what you're looking for. I would've told you earlier today, but I forgot the company name. It was recommended to me by a few serious track rats at Buttonwillow (who do not think my wing is serious enough.) They can make custom risers and you can opt to use the getty design decklid.. or fabricate a serious chassis mounted riser (the right way to do it)

All I have to ask is one thing
how many track days do you put in per month
what are you looking for when it comes to aerodynamics - what is being limited now
why dont you have anything up front (and sorry if I just cant see it)
have you

without some seats and a harness are you really getting all the corner speed you can get without going to an extreme wing - car still looks pretty stock, you could loose a ton of weight and be miles ahead on corner speeds

lastly - do you want everyone to call your name everytime there is a "I want a bigger wing" thread?

that's the only question I have!

OP, nice bike! retro and very useful. as ivangene mentioned, if you dont have any front aero, you will experience an imbalance at high speeds; search for the front Aero Cup splitter. it attaches to your current
bumper quite easily and will compliment the rear aero alot better.
IIRC, the OEM front splitter is Poly, so it gives a little.

this one that another RL member has a thread on ( FRP)\

Welcome fellow Air head. I've been through a LWB '73 R75/5 and currently looking to do something crazy with my current '80 R100(aka Ritmo Sereno style) analogous to what you want to do with your car.

I find it interesting that you really wanted to look for a very particular and stock bike, yet you are willing to switch up your car.

Regardless, be prepared to have every teen and every guy with a semi-fast car or tall ego wanting to race you at every stop light. Are you planning on getting an aggressive front and rear end to compliment the wing?

Hey Philip,

I am in the middle of replacing my mrk1 GT3 wing/decklid. Body work and paint should be finished today. I went with a Getty cup decklid and 55" wing. Getty also has a 63". I bought my uprights from RL member Ed Baus. He has a couple of sizes, Grand am and roof height. I went with roof height.
I am in OC so if you want a look, please PM me and we can work something out.

Best,

Eric

@Ivan I see about 3-5 track days a year in this car but plan on more next year. I have GT3 Euro seats already for the car and a roll cage from GMG. Not that I have to defend myself, but I do need to change my front to match the rear. But I have what I want to do in the front decided.
And if people want to call my name on the thread, I will be more than happy to assist with whatever information I have.

@2K3TTMIA Thanks for the kind words on the bike. Yea, I got something brewing in the brain for the front. I'll keep you all posted on that.

@Alpine003 Good to see that people recognize the LWB when it comes to airheads! I do dig the Ritmo Sereno style bikes a lot. Cool stuff. I'm willing to do this to the 996 since there are tons of them. The LWB is a rarity.

@mcipseric Eric, would love to check it out. Please let me know where and when, I will be more than happy to drive down to take a look at chit chat.

Not sure why you're compelled to get a Cup wing for a car that isn't anywhere near full time track duty; none of the aero stuff will make much difference in double digit speeds. GT2 wing makes ~17lbs of downfore at 120mph.

Seems like GT3 wing would fit the bill in your case.
