Default CDR-220 removal - will I need the code?

I'm planning on removing the CDR-220 tomorrow, I have the tool set (though I'm still not clear on the process) I want to add the aux cable for the iphone.

Question - will I need the radio code when I put the CDR back in?

My car didn't come with the code.

Thanks!

What year? '03 w/ MOST (fiber optic bus), I did not need a code. '99 w/o MOST, I do need my code.

Have you ever changed your battery, and does your radio still work? If so, you don't need the code. You need to unlock the radio every time the battery is disconnected if you have a radio that requires a code.

I just got the car a couple of weeks ago so I haven't disconnected the battery. It's a 2000. I just sent an email on Renntech with the serial number, etc...hopefully I can get the code. It sounds like I will need it when I re-install the radio based on some other threads I saw. Thanks!

Your code was posted 7 minutes after your request - you can get it there now.

WOW!!

Yes you do need the code, my car came with ZERO documentation from the previous/original owner, the ONLY "documentation" was the radio key code card, and the only reason he had it was because he had to change the battery the year before, and had to go to the Porsche dealerhsip to get the code.
