996 NB offset question
Will a set of 18x7.5 ET50 front & 18x10 ET45 rear Twist style rims fit a '99 C2?
I did a search, and it appeared that the correct offsets are 50F & 65R, but just wanted to check.
Thanks,
Paul.

That said, a 55MM offset will work as I have Victor Innsbruck wheels that are 11 inches wide with a 55MM offset with no fender role on the ROW M030 suspension. No rubbing either.
))The tires are 295/30zr18 tires for the rears. I can't remember what the fronts are, but they are no problem at all.
Now, over the past months I have spent a good amount of time researching this topic, and one phrase in particular caught my eye, it said "Make it work"
Now, every application is different, and don't be discouraged if an unexpected snag occurs--Be bold. My research has shown that the 45 offset is the most aggressive one for these rims. As you are trying to use 10x18 ET45, mathematically that means yours will stick out .5 inch less than mine, so if I can make it fit.....surely you can too!!
Once I mounted them, I noticed how tight the clearance is. I went for a quick jaunt through some neighborhood speed bumps and came back to the house. I noticed that they rubbed a tiny bit on the passenger side. So.... I found a wood bat and rolled my own fenders
This was fairly easy and did not result in any visible bending on the outside of the fender. I turned my outside mirrors in and down to watch the tires as I went over the speed bumps, and noticed that the suspension "swings" the top inward as it flexes. This is good news because it means they don't need to be totally underneath and inside the fender...they CAN stick out a bit. This was Saturday, and since then, I have tested them on all the major LA freeways, and a lot of bumpy city streets. I have observed clearance problems in cars and trucks before. The rub is very noticeable when it happens (noise) and you will see evidence on the tire and/or the fender if you look at it. These tires do not rub now. It seems that the 405 has the largest bumps and dips, so I would say they are now "405 tested", lol.
I have a lot more pics. I was also worried to pull the trigger on this, but rest assured, it will work. Remember there are a few things you can play with...roll the fenders...dial in some camber to tuck them in...maybe even shorter profile tires. I think the look is TOTALLY worth it. From what I have read, don't worry about the fronts, as it seems all of them will fit universally...the rears is where you are trying to fit the big fat rubber.

but youre saying, eddie, that the rear wheels from a wide body 996 (et~45) will fit on a narrow body 996, with only potentially requiring inner fender roll?
(also looking around and seeing all of the "it wont fit" threads and messages)
thank you for providing all of the relevant measurements and specifications.
one thing that's often noted in wheel/tire fitment threads on thr other board i like to frequent, is that tire widths are different by manufacturer even with the same tread-width measurement.
