Just wanted to give a shout out to the guys at Pwr Tech in New Jersey. The whole IMS thing just got to me so I had Mike and his guys do the IMS retrofit, AOS and new clutch. I only have 38K miles so I really didn't need to do the clutch but I figured why pay for the same labor again next year. Mike did a phenomenal job keeping me informed the whole time. I even asked them to do the RMS but they told me that mine was fine and I didn't need it so they didn't do it. Gotta love working with a shop with such good integrity. Anyway, if you're in the Central/Northern NJ area, I would highly recommend them.
Yea, I get my car worked upon by PowerTech. Actually, I bought my car from them I have heard from others that they are a bit pricey, but their service is very good. They always keep you in the loop when they're working on the car. Its a workshop full of Porsches - I wouldn't mind going there just to see them work on the cars
I got my 996 C2 cab about 2 years ago and have used Powertech for everything so far. I never post here but had to chime in. I have had a new window motor, starter, seat/belt airbag fix, detente, engine brace, clutch/bearing job, tires, coolant leak, and some other work done there. Good guys, good work and they make it as convenient as possible for me since it is my daily driver. I drop it off in the early AM and take a bus into NYC and pick it up at night.
