Cruise Control doesn't work
Two days ago, my cruise control was intermittent, but did finally engage. Yesterday (and today), it didn't engage. The green indicator light on the instrument panel does show green when I push in the cruise control "button".
My mechanic thinks it might be the brake or clutch switch(s) which would have to be replaced. Does this sound reasonable?
Anyone else with a similar problem (and hopefully fixes)?

Clutch switch is very common. It could be that.
Did you happen to "upgrade" to LED tail lights recently? That could be a problem too...

Check for burned out stop light bulbs. Brake and clutch switches live above your toes mounted in the pedal frames. 1/2 turn to remove them. There is also a microswitch on the clutch that feeds info to the ECU. So 3 total switches to play with.

go buy an Ohm meter from Radio shack or harbor freight.. Can be the cheapest one you can find.
.
First of all climb under the dash. Find the switch on the clutch make sure it doesn't just need adjusted. Make sure when the clutch is activated the switch activates. If you listen really close you will prolly hear a "click" as the switch turns on and off.
Now that we have done that, take the meter and put it across the two contacts of the switch. In one position you should get a full scale reading and in the other position you should get no reading.
Im sorry I don't know if the switch is open or closed if the clutch is up or down.. But either way. if you get a Full Scale read when the clutch is not pressed, you should get no reading when the clutch is pressed or vis versa. All this is done with the ignition off.
