Default My double DIN install

I installed a Doulbe DIN radio in my 996 today. I bought an install kit online and bought the radio on Ebay. Funny thing abour the radio. Its a brand I never heard of. Eonon. Its shipped right from Hong Kong China. I ordered it on Tuesday and it showed up today. Not bad for coming half way around the world. The radio works great, looks great and the price was unbeatable.
$227.00 shipped.

It has all the usual goodies. Nav, Bluetooth, Ipod connection, Video, Steering wheel control capable, and Backup camera ready. Install was very straight forward. No suprises. The only thing I screwed up on was, I ordered the bezel to move the HVAC befoe I realized the install kit came with one.
Here are a couple of pics of the install.

Can anyone tell me where to get a storage bin to replace the outdated Cassette holder?
Thanks Mike

Where did you mount the antenna for the nav and is it an igo map? Is the map updated and does the nav portion work good?

How's the glare during the daytime?

I have a radio already but have been curious at some of the Chinese brands that seem to be gaining popularity lately.

The antenna is stuck to the upper windshield. I don't know what an IGO map is. I haven't played with the NAV too much yet. Don't know about the glare yet as it hasn't left my garage. It seems like a lot of radio for the money. Wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't made by the same manufacturers as the big name radios.

Your install looks very nice. Where can you get the install kits from that have the Porsche logo'd bezel? Did you also change the speakers? I will do my install this Spring. Can anyone tell me what size speakers are in a 2003 so I can order them ahead of pulling out the existing ones?

I kept the stock speakers. Actually since I just bought the car, Im not sure if the stock speakers are even in place. I assume they are. The radio I removed was aftermarket as well. Who knows.

There are two different shelves. Make sure you order the upper shelf.

So, in order for you to complete this, you had to buy the radio and install kit which came to a total of around $400 ?? Just curious of total cost. TIA
