Harness Bar Question

All,
For the upcoming DE season, I'd like to get myself more securely belted into the car. Tired of sliding around and using my knees to brace myself.
Since my car (2004 C2) is primarily a street car, I need to retain access to the rear seats, and I need to keep the stock seats.
I see that Brey-Krause and Sparco sell harness bars, and there seem to be no shortage of 4-point belts that would work. But I would like to see if anyone has experience with a harness bar setup with stock seats?
Thanks

check your local DE rules - may are not allowing 4 point harness
I would also caution against a harness without a roll bar/cage
in the event of a roll over the harness might cause an issue - do some reading
foam blocks have been known to help if wedged in place to keep you in your seat
do you "lock" your seatbelts
If you dont know how I can tell you, it is very effective way to gain a LOT of stick-to-it-ness

What type of seats do you have? I'm not sure you will solve your problem with a harness with stock seats anyway. You also can't get the shoulder straps right without the right seat.
Don't laugh at this solution, but think about getting some old-school sheepskins for the seat. Once you tighten your three-point well, you wont slide around as much as on your fancy, slippery leather. I've seen it more than once at the track.

I have the stock "sport" seats, so no pass-through holes. Which is really the problem. If I had GT3 seats, I probably would have installed the harness already.
The sheepskin solution is an interesting one, have never seen that before. I wonder if that gets uncomfortable during the occasional 105 degree July day (I'm thinking of Summit Point last year).
I am looking into the "lock" solution, and have ordered a CG Lock to see how that works.
Of course, the real solution is to ask BGB to build me a track-only Cayman. But that's another thread...

It's easy to lock your belt without a gadget.
Fasten the seat belt. Pull the shoulder strap up to tighten the lap portion of the belt. While taught, pinch the belts together at the latch and hold. Now unfasten the belt, twist the latch twice, and refasten the belt.
You should be able to get it tight and it won't slip. You can also move the seat forward at that point and make the lap belt tighter still.

Angel Pads. They work very well for keeping you in place, and throw them in the trunk when you are done. Saw these at a couple events last year and was impressed. Great option for guys with stock seats. Basically has two pads on each side that will wedge you in place with the door closed.

no holes for shoulder belts=no 4/5 point harnesses.
