pretty cool
I just wonder what happen when you have to change tires
I assume you will have to remove it all by hand, but post update in a few thousand miles, many seems to be happy with that product. I bought a can myself but not used it yet .

Three Wheelin'
Looks great. I plan on doing the same to my car.
I had this on my M3 from the previous owner, it held up very well. A small portion (1/8" tall and 1/2" long) peeled off. The rest of the finish didn't budge. I put about 10k miles on the wheels and I have no clue how long it was on previously.

There are dozens and dozens of videos on you tube and probably even more dozens of blogs raving about how awesome and durable it is, we'll see.
When I was putting the lugs on the 19mm socket rubbed against the hole that the lug fits into and tore off some of the Plasi Dip. The fix is easy, I dabbed my finger in a little lacquer thinner and rubbed my finger on the tear. It wore down the lip where the product tore, I resprayed a few coats on the spot and it disappeared.

I'm curious how durable this is as well. I have a 40th AE edition with the silver grills in the front. I painted them black on my car (took off bumper, cleaned the grills and prepped them) with krylon paint designed for plastics. Well, less than 1k miles on it, and you can see it getting sandblasted already.
I thought about plastidip at the time, since I figured if it gets sandblasted the material would "self heal." But what I was afraid that if "chunks" come off, it'll get sucked into the bellows and maybe block my radiators.
Would be great to hear how durable the plastidip is. I suspect the wheels get a lot of abuse from debris hitting it.

I love the look! the black wheels and all. It iwll be interesting to see how this "wears." I am always washing my baby and the brake dust issue and track slag issue would be a concern for me. Keep me (us) posted.

I Plasti-Dipped the OEM solid turbo twists that I use for my winter tires. It's held up very well and I love the look. Cheap, too.
Sorry if the pics are huge.
