Trunk Light Issue
Got a bit of a strange thing happening, when i brought the car home from the dealer the trunk light would not turn on, i took the bulb out but it was fine, so i figured it would be the fuse. But then, with my trunk open, i open the engine bay lid, and then, my trunk light came on, so it can't be the fuse i guess? When i close the rear lid, the light in the front trunk goes off. WTF? At the same time the light in the rear works as it should. Anybody had a similar issue, or know what it might be? Thanks.

Spray contact cleaner on the switch. Activate a couple of times and then spray with wd40. Common issue.

Hey Eric,
I haven't had a chance to look, i have been out of town for work, but tomorrow i will have a look. If it's just the switch sticking then it will be fine, i have no idea though what kind of correlation that switch would have with the one at the rear? That's the only strange thing, but i will post what i find out, thanks for your suggestion.

IIRC, the front and rear lid lights are connected, so I think you should also check that the front compartment light is not on when the lid is shut.
If the microswitch on the front or rear lid is stuck in the 'open' position, you would expect to hear a single beep when you lock the car.
The lower latch (item 7) has a microswitch inside.
This will likely need to be replaced.

I am pretty sure it will do the trick, I had the exact same issue, front/rear. Might as well do the spray thing in the rear too. I did not but my issue was solved. If you still have the problem with the front microswitch the lower latch assembly can be dissamblied and cleaned (part 7 on diagram).
