Doh Moments...
I started an oil change and realized that I didn't have any filters left. DOH!
I have a bad habit of not having everything upfront before I start sometimes and it does bite me from time to time making assumptions.
Not a big deal but it can get hard managing 3 cars and bikes in terms of parts inventory and driving.
People still think I just bought my Porsche at the gas station sometimes as I've been known to pull up on the wrong side.(Japanese car vs. Euro car gas filler locations)
My friends look at me weird when I try to put my ignition key on the left side of the BMW.
My wife looks at me funny when I stomp on the dead pedal in some situations expecting to find a clutch there in her car.
Between the right side of European gas filler necks and left side of Japanese gas filler necks, coupled with auto, manual pedal configuration, and coupled with different ignition locations....
It will be even harder when I get my dog leg tranny this summer. I hope I don't "front end" someone.
Glad I don't drive a Saab either...
Am I the only one?

I consistently pull on the wrong side for fuel. Of the four cars I have, only the 996 in on the right side. Usually there is an indicator on the fuel guage to guide dummies like me. Sadly, the engineers in Germany didnt put the little arrow pointing to the fuel door side.
Key thing? Yep. All the time. However, after driving my wife's Acura ZDX for a few days, I look for the push button start in the Porsche.
My spouse's largest complaint is my insatiable need to hit every apex.

I apex every turn in the Suburban - weight transfer and smooth steering pay off big when you have a high C/G and rollie pollie suspension
key wrong side - always
stopping in front of the gas pump...and then rolling WAY up in other cars that accept fuel at the back end
when I had the 996 I used to hit the door latch on the wife's car and wait for the window to drop - which of course it wouldnt
How about your passengers or significant other always trying to reach for the oh $hit handle towards the roofline when you're turning fast in the 996.

Fortunately for me, my wife's Cayenne has a left hand ignition, just like my 996. I don't mess that one up anymore. We did have a couple of Saabs in the past, and when we transitioned into Porsches it caused all kinds of problems.
I don't stomp on the dead pedal in the Cayenne looking for a clutch. I tend to stomp on the left side of the brake pedal. That's not fun.
Occasionally I drive my son's Subaru. It's a 5-speed manual transmission, but the reverse gear is in the opposite location compared to the C4S. I constantly struggle to get his car into reverse and I have to look at the shift pattern on the **** to get it right.

The wife always bitches me out when I drive her Acadia. The first few turns are always exciting as crap goes flying all to one side of the truck as it leans over like a boat mid-corner.
