Default Airbag Light After Dead Battery, Using Resistor

I'm using a Momo GT3 style steering wheel, and I used a resistor to avoid getting the airbag light. I drove the car for about a year, and never got the airbag light. Recently my car sat at the shop without being driven for some time, and the battery went flat. When the car was finally started up, the airbag light came on. I checked the resistor, and it's still in place, just as before.

What gives?

Most likely the error came because of the flat battery not because there is something wrong with the airbag circuit.
