Are there only two variations of the 996 NB Taillights?

Orange/Red and Smokey/Red?

Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or do some "Red/Clear" NB tail lights look a lot more 'clear' than others?

For example, these look more smokey than clear:

Is it just the lighting and the angles from which you view them, or are there actually 3 variations of the 996 NB tail light? I only ever see two versions for sale on Porsche parts sites.

If you're asking about OEM, I think there was an amber/red/clear version in 1999 through mid-year 2000. Then, they went to red/clear. The changeover came at the same time that they eliminated the amber bottoms from the from headlamp units.

My '99 has the clear fronts and rears. Maybe the original owner replaced it at some point.
