Default Gerogetown Lake 2013

Georgetown Lake Eiskhana 2013. Somehow I managed to score second place even though the car is very rarely heading in the direction it is pointing in the pics... 996 representin'!

Really like the lighting of the first shot... makes the car look all liquid. Well done out there (and I saw it first hand!)

Yeah, the light really flows over the car like water in that shot. I will attribute my good placing to the help of your road-hugging weight in the car! Of course, that's my bloated carcass in your passenger seat a few pix back helping to push your studs into the ice...

Wink

WalterRohrl;
Lovely picture, indeed! But why does the car look so small and your heads look so big?

haha! We must be leaning forward willing the car to go, yeah that's it!... I think we are moving at about 16 mph with the engine bouncing off the rev-limiter in 5th gear. - just kidding.

No, really it is amazing how little grip there is on pure ice even with Blizzak's. Still not nearly as bad as the guy with summer tires but even studs were not really any better than snows, especially when turning. I think I did best in second gear for most of it without PSM engaged. (that was my fastest time anyway). 1st has too much torque with my tire setup in that situation. It was very instructive, wish I had more time on the ice to really play with it more.
