Default Front differential fill bolt on C4s

I did oil, serp belt and transmission fluids on my car yesterday. Unfortunately the front diff fill bolt did not budge. I sprayed some PB plaster on it and might try again this week. I did not have a 6 point 17mm socket. Used a closed end wrench and nicked the bolt a little. i don't think it is too far gone to need to be extracted.

Does anyone have tricks (heat etc) to get the front diff bolt loose? I will go to sears to buy the correct socket as well.

I did not have a chance to go back at it yet. Too much fun during Christmas. I learned my lesson on the past to try the fill plug before draining the fluid so car is still fine. My row suspension should arrive this week. I will soak with pb blaster while the car is back on stands for suspension work. Proper socket and patience should do it. Will report back.

You're going to want to get the correct socket for sure, a stripped bolt in that location would be hell to extract. I'd hit it with some heat as well assuming there's no plastic/rubber near the bolt.

Even with the correct socket and PB blaster I couldn't budge that damn thing. A wrench started rounding it a little so I went with a bolt extractor from sears. A couple of quick taps and it broke free. Good luck, but don't be afraid of using an external extractor if things slip a little.
