+996. It's really ashame that it turned out the way it did and I certainly contributed my fair share to the mess and drama I admit. I'm glad though that Bob stepped in and I hope we can close this book. After all, we just about covered everything, especially when you have to get unicorns and turtles involved.

To be fair I really do hope Carlyle will be back under his original name asking for advice or help(after he's done a basic search) because after all he's not only an enthusiast but a 996 owner now and I'd like to remind myself and others that this forum is about helping out other enthusiast regardless how quirky they might seem to some of us. As long as they don't have any malicious intent, they are still ok in my books.

I do believe though he did get the help he needed eventually albeit with a bit of unnecessary drama thrown in there. And I hope if he does come back, he can take this experience to further improve and 'tailor' his questions as to avoid the clutter and unnecessary drama in the future.

Personally I find his video production to be very good and it would be great if he did a whole video segment on the 996 specifically(not necessarily a buyers guide but more of an info intro to 996 for people that dont know about it yet). I feel it would be worthy and justified to have a specific video for it. I'm sure a lot of us would be willing to give him all the info he needs to make a great video.

Thats all just great but why in the heck would anyone feel the need to lie and be deceptive about who they are and what their intent is on a 996 tech forum? Makes zero sense to me.

He would have been much better off to be honest from the FIRST post! His rep is pretty much shot without some type of explanation for this nonsense. We still have not seen any real pics posted of this alleged 996 he (whoever that is) owns.

His videos might be nice, I haven't looked at them but, are they accurate or full off $hit like all his posts here?

The videos are fairly high quality productions but the ones I have seen seem to cover "very" basic information for the common consumer, not really for the seasoned enthusiast. That is most likely his target audience.

We have a sofa for sale on craigslist and I swear there is a class of people that just like attention or have a need to call/email and ask inane questions in order to experience some level of human contact or something. very strange. very sad.

Just wait for his next piece on Porsches when he trashes 996 owners as being rude.
