I already have the X51 pan, and I researched accusump/etc...but found some people who still suffered failures due to oil starvation.

This is a process for me...like an 8 year process. I'm on year 3.

I don't understand why you guys would say 315 is overkill, unless I've got a TT. Today, in stock form, yes. It's overkill...but as I said, I plan some engine work later. I don't see a point in spending $5K on rims now just to change later. Might as well buy what I'll be wanting later, now...unless the negatives FAR outweigh the positives.

If I got to the track for CUP or GT races, what are all the GT3s running? I'm not being smart, I'm asking...

Jumper, Mosport is a good example. besides turn 2, there really isn't anywhere I think you'd be in danger of oil starvation, and turn 2 is relatively short.

Sean, will you be driving to your events? In S. Fla the rain never ends... I drive to my events and the nittos are ok in anything but a downpour. I just slow down if on hwy. Im dying to run hoosiers also but not until i buy a trailer... Yes, 315s are heavier but that is the only size nitto makes that work for our cars. The toyo 888s can be bought in 295 but are hated by most gt3 drivers due to noise and sudden fall off. I havnt tried them yet but tire rack sells them at a good price now. Street tires are crap if you are a reasonably skilled driver. I've driven many days on streets due to bad weather and I hate it.The nittos are good for 4-5 seconds per lap at Homestead where my lap times are 1:47s on streets and 1:41-2s on R comps. Best bang for buck once your skill level has improved.

no, I will be trailering to the track most likely. However, I can get some Michelin PS2s in 235/35/18 and 315/30/18...so if I just wanted to run some street tires for now, these are what I would probably get.
