I'm looking at the "Enthusiast" package vs the "Pro". Question I have is will the "Enthusiast" turn off airbag lights and others? Their site says the main diff between the two is that the "Pro" is unlimited car usage and can enable/disable airbags and spoilers and some other gizmos. The enable/disable comment make me think about the airbag and the "Enthusiast" won't turn off the airbag light.
Hi Pete, although I have not used it (enthusiast version) to reset the airbag light, I'm pretty sure it can. Same is listed under "product overview" on their website. The part that you quoted most likely refers to programming functions where a device can be enabled/disabled, nothing to do with errors of a device.
Hi all - I just bought my Durametric Enthusiast version last week. It has all the same features as the professional version but is limited to a few VINs only.
Attached is a screenshot I just took of the readout which definitely allows you to view and reset the airbag.
The enthousiast package is limited to 3 VIN's. I opted for the pro version as I already have two P cars. You may want to look at the following link where there is more info.
It's a supper handy tool. I was able to diagnose a bad wheel speed sensor with it. I've also reset my airbag light several times (I've had the seat out a bit).
Van where have you been? The tool is great. Merry Christmas!
Hey Pete - I've been more active in the Racing and 944 forums lately... My 996 has been just so great, there's not much to talk about! It starts all the time, it's comfortable, it's always the prettiest car in the parking lot, driving home is frequently the highlight of my day, and has cost very little money to maintain (relative to the rest of my eclectic fleet).
