I'm just curious to see if anyone has ever installed a set of these LSD Lamborghini style bolt on door hinges onto their 996. It is a wild look but I'm curious to see how they fit, the actual room to get in and out if the car, and if it turns out that they are ok, if anyone knows where to get a set that isn't 3000 dollars. Just curious if this is a road I want to start down.

1999 C2 coupe. GT3 front bumper, turbo side skirts, Turbo rear bumper, turbo rear spoiler and wheels.

Hey guys. Lighten up. It was a question, not a statement. I saw a picture and was curious. This is suppost to be a forum to come a post questions, not get made fun if by a bunch of snobs. SeanR, what does that mean? That I am low rent and trash? Get over yourself. I have been a Porsche mechanic for over 18 years and have personally owned over 10 Porsches, people like you are the ones that give Porsche owners bad names. KrazyK, who are you to tell me what is ruining my car, you must be one of those Porsche guys with the gaudy 5000 carbon fiber wing and the matching stitching on your seats

Or you could do a search and read all the other folks that have asked this question for the past 8 or so years.

Take my comments however you want, it's not going to hurt my feelings a bit. I say go for it, put the Lambo doors on the car, it will look fantastic.

Being as there is still no photo, I suspect,

Porsche mechanic = changed oil in Porsches at Quick Lube
Owned 10 Porches = collects model cars

If Im wrong, sorry. On second thought, yeh get the cool Lambo doors. Dont forget the rice mufflers, neon lights, etc.

They look no worse than some of the other imitation "speed treatments" that try to make a basic car look like a more expensive car.

In this case, you might make sure that the structure can really take the weight concentrated in a different way than than the factory intended for its hinges. Might work for a bit, then deform over time.

They do not look that bad, but I hear after time....big time problems happen, also you need to make sure you get a legit kit and have a good installer. They are not for me, but I am 50/50 for them. I do believe it is your car, you pay for it and do what makes you happy.
