I can't take it when things are not all just right. I'm slowly taking on all the small issues in my new car.
My ash try does not stay closed. I pulled the tray out and looked things over. I noticed that a gear in the tray looks to meet a gear below it. I removed the ash tray housing/window buttons and found the small gear laying under it. Even with reinstalling the gear, I don't know what keeps it closed as I haven't ever looked at it before. What part am I missing?
Do yourself a favor and order the non-smoker storage cubby and swap it out - it looks so much better and you'll have a place to store coins, phone, etc. Check it out at Suncoast.

That looks like my only option unless someone wants to sell me a working one that matches or I can steal the parts off of. The car has all the carbon fiber stuff and I wanted to keep it stock.
