Sad to be sure but living on the coast/beach like that...
Anyhow, as good as any place to mention this. There are going to be some "deals" on used Porsches (and other brands too) going forward and if this was ever more worth keeping in mind: Buyer beware.
Some of those "deals" are going to be flood cars.
Sincerely,
Macster.

German transformer cars hanging out together.
The white porsche is probably what did most of the damage to his house. Sadly since the storm hit the coast as a hurricane it nulled tons of insurances. Why coast living people don't go concrete max rebarred out I'll never know. Slap siding on the concrete and it looks the same.

A sad end. I wonder what priorities came ahead of a 100% loss and quite possibly an uninsured event?
Surely it would have made sense to heed the warnings since the prior week -- certainly by the Saturday prior -- to take a road trip to some higher ground?
I read there are office buildings where people left their cars in the expectation that rising storm waters would simply be "pumped" and the basement parking lots would somehow able to pump faster than the advancing ocean, with cars expected to remain dry and cosy. Bizarre.
